All of us know that ‘Necessity is the mother of invention’ but it is very difficult to convince health workers and general public that there is a necessity of essential revolution1 in the field of health science as regards to its sole Concept. Everyone thinks that the treatment and health system of today is complete and advanced as it imbibes the latest knowledge in any field anywhere around earth. They think that a new and novel technique will make it even better and hence the latest the best.
After the introduction and establishment of modern medicines (Keeping apart all the socalled pseudo sciences) almost all diseases known to mankind has come under surveillance and addressed. Allergic rhinitis, skin complaints, asthma, renal diseases, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, diabetes, myocardial infarction, stroke, cardiac block… so on.
All emergency conditions are managed convincingly. All infectious diseases are managed effectively. Medical science has a perfect command over every discipline of health. Even then none of any of these diseases can been irradicated. Why? None of any of the diseases has yet been convincingly excavated. A trace of uncertainty is left back in every single disease story. You can browse any disease on internet. It has all the narrations perfect except for the tail end sentence which goes like- ‘the real reason is unknown’ or ‘the exact mechanism is unknown’.
There being a lot of concepts on health and all of them being almost incomplete or fantasies, how can any human intervention or interference into the health of living being be correct, complete or just? Who decide if the set of symptoms that we call a disease is actually a disease at all? And if at all correctly judged who decides that the human intervention into the crisis is genuine. What are parameters of correct indulgence? None of the concepts on health are complete…
Why is FOH so sure about this???
Because, if our understanding about health, disease and treatment was perfect, their convergence could have created magic. Mankind could be free from diseases by now and all that would have left behind should be some infectious disease and its management, emergency medicine to deal accidents, poisoning, animal poisoning (like snake bite and dog bites), management of terminal old age cases.
Please imagine that the whole medical system vanishes from the surface of earth for a whole month. The world will go two centuries back with the same health status of that times or may be even weaker as we are now addict to many of our modern treatment plans. These strategies and knowledges have saved many lives (pushed the death forward) but not improved the quality of health over time and with these crippled tools nowhere in future would we achieve a healthy life or population. We have for centuries violated the rules of natural selection and of course breached the natural modes of bodily instincts of resistance.
